Introduction
Greetings and Salutations! It has been awhile since our last post but rest assured progress has been happening nearly every day behind the scenes! There are quite a few new features that have been developed since our last post that our team is excited to share.
A First Look at NPC's!
First of all, I would like to thank our team member Leo for all of the amazing work they have done expanding our base NPC assets to include the different traits that make up the playable species on Luna. We would not have nearly as much variety without all of the hard work they have put in!
It is with great excitement that I introduce you to some of the first non-playable characters to enter the game world. The characters previewed in the two screenshots below live in the bustling Neptuna Village which is located in the Altair region to the east.
Each NPC can have many different lines of dialogue that make up a conversation. This dialogue can have many branching options that you can select to further that conversation.
Our Custom Dialogue Editor
We realized early on that we wanted our NPC’s to have complex dialogue. To accomplish this task I built a custom node based dialogue system and then an editor to export the necessary information in that format. This software will allow our team to build a wide variety of unique NPC’s for you to encounter throughout your adventures on Luna!

One of the benefits of this application is that it gives our team the ability to preview how the dialogue will display on the fly before it is ever imported into the game.
We plan on expanding this application in the future to give us the ability to edit quests, shop inventories, dialogue based on specific requirements, and much more.
